• Gibbonses were no-shows at the Lincoln Desecration Dinner held by Repugs in Pahrump, who have to settle for Gib-clone Dean Heller. Gube spokester assures us that the little family home meeting over the weekend was not the reason for the snub:

Senate President Pro Tem Mark Amodei, R-Carson City, were the keynote
speakers in the absence of the guest of honor, Gov. Jim Gibbons and
First Lady Dawn Gibbons. Governor’s spokesman Jim Denton said it was a
scheduling conflict. Gibbons’ son Jimmy Gibbons, was visiting Reno on
leave from the Merchant Marine Academy in New York.

It had nothing to do with news reports Friday of marital difficulties between the two, Denton said. (PVT)

• Breaking News! Gibbons supports another convoluted super-majority scheme after Sheldon Adelson’s Sands, Corp. supports it. Who saw that coming? (RJ) According to the pointless initiative, a 2/3rds majority vote by the public would be required to create higher taxes through initiatives, just like the silly, anti-democratic super-majority requirement on the Legislature that has been working out so well for our schools, prisons, and roads. No doubt the failed politician pushing the
  initiative is doing so for the same reason that failed politician Jim Gibbons originally pushed his: to get a little name recognition. Now that’s funny. A guy named Steve Martin has a name recognition problem.
• Gibbons and First Co-conspirator spotted at funeral. Could there be a reconciliation in the offing? (NA)
• A religious bigot and Jack-Mormon who supported posting the ten commandments in school, thus urging everyone to worship the god who brought us out of Egypt and wants us to have not other gods over him, decries  supposed religious bigotry heaped on Mitt Romney. (RJ via VTS) And thanks again to the RJ for calling dis-fellowshiped, non-practicing, Jack-Mormon Jim a "Mormon" so that he can more easily pander to the less intelligent practitioners of that faith in the 2010 election.
• And if you’ve missed Gibber’s gibberin’, you can get an boatload over on Nevada Newsmakers, where Sam Shad gets an interview by promising not to ask about the Gube’s alleged probs with the First Co-conspirator. (NN) Who can get enough of watching the Governor flip-flop on TASC-like idiocies while trying to stammer out complete sentences? And hey, he’s even willing to give John McLame the benefit of the doubt. That’s what Gibbons mean by supporting his candidate. And those 4.5% cuts? You thought they were cuts? Ha! They were really reductions in the rate of increase! So, there!
