Apex Health Management, managers of Randolph Hills Nursing Center & Adult Daycare and Apex Health of Silver Spring provides a range of services, including skilled nursing care, post-acute medical and rehabilitation care, hospice care, wound care, IV therapy and rehabilitation therapy.
The Admission Coordinator is an internal customer service position responsible to assist in the coordination of the referral-to-admission process for rehabilitation and nursing services provided at the facility. These duties may escalate in the absence of the Admissions Director or during case heavy times. The Admissions Coordinator also provides administrative support to ensure that all necessary requirements are met prior to admission of the resident.
In addition to excellent written/verbal communication, problem solving and decision making abilities, our candidate will possess the ability to work well with an interdisciplinary team and perform clerical and administrative duties.
This position requires tact, sensitivity and professionalism due to constant interaction with residents and families to guarantee their satisfaction.
NOTE: Additional duties may be assigned as needed
Position Requirements- Demonstrated customer service experience, health care experience, sales experience, particularly in health care services, and familiarity with long-term care and/or health care services useful. Must possess proficient PC skills, working knowledge of copier, fax machine, and printers, ability to operate a multi-line phone system. The candidate should have excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact with a range of people in an open, friendly, customer-oriented manner and have the ability to occasionally work independently.
Education Requirements- Associates Degree or experience in lieu of degree
